Dr. Katherine Burns, Developmental Pediatrician
Dr. Burns graduated from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and then stayed in Arkansas for pediatric residency and developmental behavioral fellowship. She then worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for 2 years before moving with her husband to San Antonio, Texas for 2 years followed by 5 years in Jonesboro, Arkansas. They moved to Overland Park, Kansas 5 years ago. She then worked at Overland Park Regional Medical Center’s Special Care Clinic for about 2 ½ years before setting out on her own. She now works one day a week at The LeeAnn Britain Development Center

Dr. Burns has extensive experience diagnosing and/or managing:

- Extremely preterm newborns
- Children with medical complexity
Dr. Burns has extensive experience with a variety of medications to treat ADHD, anxiety, irritability, and sleep.
Personal
Katie is the married to a neonatologist and has 4 children. In her spare time she enjoys quilting and embroidery.
